In this position, you will prepare financial statements; establish and maintain the accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives of the organization; and handle all other general accounting and bookkeeping functions. This long-term temporary Full Charge Bookkeeper position is located in St. Paul, Minnesota.


What you get to do every single day


-Oversee all financial, project/program and grants bookkeeping for US operations

-Assist the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the Director of Finance and Operations

-Assist with the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with organizational leadership; monitor progress and changes

-Manage local cash flow and forecasting in collaboration with finance colleagues

-Adhere to receivable and payable collection schedule; ensure that financial data and cash flow are steady and support operational functions

-Effectively communicate and present critical matters to supervisors

-Liaise closely with relevant management and program staff in order to review and analyze monthly Budget vs. Actual reports before submission to HQ and in order to highlight issues of concern and might need action.



Job Requirements:

- Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

- Adeptness in benefits administration

- Full charge bookkeeping experience preferred

- Bookkeeping experience desired

- Foundational knowledge in Human Resources (HR) Administration

- Demonstrated knowledge of Government Grants

- Proficiency in Quickbooks Online

- Onboarding experience

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills

- Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

- A thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting

- Previous experience with payroll preferred

- Proven flexibility to adapt to changes in procedures and job assignments

- 3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping

- High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended

- Prior experience with Excel, Quickbooks, and Peachtree

- Competence with financial data analysis and report generation that is prompt and accurate
