We are currently looking for an Electrical Engineer for a company based in Milwaukee WI. This person will be part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of mechanical, electrical and PLC engineers as well as project managers, designers, sales, application engineers and new product development. You will report to the the Electrical Engineering Team Leader. You will have a variety of responsibilities that include working through technical control details, designing control circuits, sizing conductors, overcurrent protection and components, drawing schematics and panel layout in AutoCAD Electric or EPLAN, creating work standards, working with the internal team, vendors and contractors on electrical design of equipment and systems.What you need to be successful in this role:??? Be a self-starter, work autonomously, see projects through on time and first time right??? Have a firm understanding of electrical controls and logic??? Possess knowledge of and experience withpower and motor control circuits, motors, motor starters and VFDs??? SupportVilter's PLC controls platform??? Support team on electrical system product improvements and standards??? Manage customer electrical equipment projects??? Serve as subject matter expert and work directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and provide product training??? Have a firm understanding of how to read and interpret electrical schematics as well as piping and instrumentation drawings??? Have a firm understanding of NFPA 70 National Electric Code, NFPA 79 and UL 508A, staying up to date on industry standards and trends??? Have experience and proficiencywith AutoCAD Electrical and/or EPLAN engineering toolsREQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:??? Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering??? Three (3+) years of related experience??? Able to understand and solve a wide variety of technical problems with little guidance.??? Able to communicate technical concepts clearly and concisely in writing and other presentation formats.??? Must be a team player, willing to learn from experienced staff and capable of introducing positive changes.??? Ability to travel 10-15% of the time.??? Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:??? Masters in Electrical Engineering??? Seven (7) years of related experience??? Working experience using ePlan design software???
