Job Description - Commercial Construction Sales Executive

The Commercial Construction Sales Executive is responsible for cultivating and identifying leads, proactively prospecting and selling contracts to customers primarily in the commercial construction industry. The Construction Sales Executive is also responsible for building, maintaining, and growing long- term relationships with these clients to grow the revenue base to meet and exceed the monthly-targeted profitable growth objectives in support of National Construction overall goals. The Construction Sales Executive meets regularly with prospective and existing clients to deliver sales presentations, follow up with key decision-makers and sell all construction services, as appropriate.


Expectations/Responsibilities:

?? Candidate will be heavily involved in business development/face to face, phone, networking - 75% outside sales, 25% administration in the office and working with estimating team.

?? Candidate will be able to identify qualified leads, manage prospects and secure all lines of business offered within the market to exceed monthly established targeted margin growth goals.

?? Candidate will utilize the company's contact relationship management (CRM) tool daily, scheduling and documenting all activities, develop robust information profiles on prospective customers and facilitate the acquisition of new business.

?? Candidate should have knowledge of the construction industry and building codes.

?? Candidate will develop and maintain an awareness of market behavior and competitive trends in the designated market to anticipate changing customer needs; proactively managing customer base.

?? Candidate will be able to generate and provide sales leads for the companies sales opportunities to the appropriate sales Executive in the market to capture additional revenue.

?? Candidate will proactively communicate with or respond to customers in conjunction with National Construction pricing initiatives.

?? Candidate will prepare and deliver sales presentations to grow existing client base, following up with key decision makers.

?? Candidate will establish long-term relationships with contractors within 60 mile-radius of Madison metro market.

?? Candidate will maintain a thorough knowledge of National Construction services, lines of business, pricing structures and sell into existing and prospective commercial and industrial clients.

?? Candidate will grow targeted revenue and contribute to National Construction goals and objectives.

?? Candidate will regularly meet with Sales and General Manager to review weekly sales activity and prospective customer calling activities.

?? Candidate will track all prospective customer information in company CRM.

?? Candidate will build relationships and increase National Construction visibility through participation in company sponsored activities as required, attend trade shows, association events and other networking events, as necessary. He/she will act as company Executive at community events, where required.

?? Candidate will complete all required agreements, CRM entries and other reports in complete, accurate and timely manner.

?? Candidate will have excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to plan and coordinate work independently, balancing multiple work demands in a fast-paced environment.

?? Candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and customer service skills.

?? Candidate will have demonstrated computer and software skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

?? Non - Negotiable Requirements

?? Bachelor's Degree - not required, industry experience more heavily focused.

?? Candidate must be a team player and a self-starter

?? Candidate must have 7 years direct selling experience.

?? Candidate has a well-established network.

?? Candidate must have 5 years of applicable experience in a commercial/residential construction sale role.

?? Candidate should be self-motivated, maintain a feeling of pride in their work; have a strong work ethic and strive to achieve all goals.

?? Candidate should have demonstrated success in developing business and closing construction deals.

?? Candidate should have strong knowledge of commercial/residential construction methodology and project delivery methods.

?? Candidate must be able to travel within Wisconsin and other states as necessary; must possess a valid Wisconsin driver's license and proof of personal auto liability insurance meeting Wisconsin's minimum requirement.
