Position Information

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Unsolicited applications to this posting will NOT be considered.

Description, Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Organization of camper prescription medication.
    • Interact with campers and parents at check-in regarding camper prescription medication.
    • Organize medication according to camper, dose, and time of day so that counselors and camp chairs can administer medication if needed.
    • Make sure left over medication is returned to camper caregiver at camp check-out.
  • Assist with management of COVID regulations.
    • Identify current COVID regulations.
    • Help extension personnel plan for current COVID regulations at camp.
    • Facilitate a COVID educational session at camp check-in for campers, counselor, and staff.
  • Be on- call for camper health questions and health emergencies.
    • Have availability during all hours Sunday afternoon- Thursday morning to assist with health questions and health emergencies.

Requirements & Competencies:
  • Degree: Licensed Practical Nurse
    • Experience working with youth.
    • Experience working as an LPN.
    • Willingness to become familiar with COVID regulations
  • Must live within 10 miles of Washburn, ND
  • Must have interpersonal skills
  • Must be organized and detail oriented
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a group
  • Must have good communication skills

Work Location:
  • The North Dakota 4-H Camp in Washburn, ND

Hours & Schedule:
  • During check-in on the first day of each camp week
  • Available on-call during camps
  • In person camps are subject to change due to COVID guidelines and restrictions
  • Tentative camp schedule:
    • May 26-28
    • June 1-5
    • June 6-9
    • June 11-12
    • July 9-10
    • July 11-15
    • July 18-22
    • August 1-5
