Manages strategic planning, forecasting, accounting, reporting, control environment, and asset management for the Specialty Products Business which may include Life, Disability, Dental, Vision, Supplemental Health products.Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: Primary responsibility for the financial plans and policiesEstablishes and maintains fiscal controls preparation and interpretation of financial reports and financial operationsResponsible for the financial development of short and long term business plans and provides critical decision making and strategic support to the SVP and GMs as well as provide management reporting and analysis to Health Plan senior management on Specialty Products business written in their stateResponsible for identifying financial opportunities to improve the Division's profitabilityProvides leadership in actuarial functions which may include: the design pricing and implementation of assigned products; estimation of reserves and financial reporting interpretation and projection; analysis of trends and cost of care initiatives; and actuarial modeling and analyticsMaintains the product line to comply with various state and federal regulationsQualifications Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting and 8+ years of progressively more responsible management positions in finance organizations required or any combination of education/experience which would provide an equivalent backgroundKnowledge of GAAP SOX and managing business unit financial processesExperience managing all levels of staffExpertise in strategic planning and business developmentStrong oral and written communication skills and the ability to influence othersExpertise in pricing productsPreferred Qualifications:Master's degree and CPA/CMA preferredApplicable to Colorado Applicants OnlyAnnual Salary Range*: $166,800 - $208,500 Actual compensation may vary from posting based on geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level. * The hourly or salary range is the range Anthem in good faith believes is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future.
