Senior Power Electronics Engineer

Role Summary

Imagen Energy is seeking to hire a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to perform a key role in the design, development, and analysis of Power Electronics converter for various applications. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing designs through all phases of development. This includes a range of power level 50kW - 500kW advanced inverter and drives the development of both IGBT and SiC-based technologies. The candidate will be responsible for the development of control algorithms, hardware design, and implementation for power electronics systems for grid-tie and non-grid-tie applications.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Develop control algorithms and diagnostics for 3-phase switching power converters
• Perform simulation and analysis of high voltage power electronics
• Setup and perform testing of new and existing inverters
• Document and communicate control enhancements at technical review meetings

Required Skills and Experience:

Requirements

• Minimum 5 Years of Experience in the field of Power Electronics.
• Experience in design, analysis, and development of inverters control algorithms.
• Experience in the testing of converts is required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• BS/MS Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Technical problem-solving skills and experience in the production domain to address technical issues
• Hands-on experience working in a high-voltage laboratory environment
• Knowledge of FPGA
