Job you will do

Typical Day in the Life

A typical day as an Executive and Leadership Development Coach might include:
  • Drive improved workplace performance through facilitation of competency development in inter- and intrapersonal, management and leadership skills.
  • Facilitate leadership training, teambuilding, and focus groups.
  • Coach and provide training/coaching-the-coach on leadership development processes to identified leaders.
  • Place paramount emphasis on the ethical behavior and respect for confidentiality required of an executive coach.
  • Respect the critical importance of partnership between coach and client within the cultural, systemic, and contextual awareness of the client’s role.
  • Demonstrate a coaching mindset which includes practicing ongoing reflective practice while understanding the critical distinctions between various levels of coaching agreements.
  • Support those coached in setting and achieving high-level goals designed to accomplish forward-focused objectives; these encompass business, relationship, and/or interpersonal goals with input from stakeholders. Invites the client to set and commit to action steps important for moving forward. Reflects with the client about the successful progress of goals.
  • Facilitate robust coaching conversations in a safe environment being fully conscious and present with the client.
  • Encourage the learning and growth of each client by offering information and resources in the form of models, tools, readings, TED talks, and more to support the client in the development of the new behaviors required for success in the role.
  • Conduct external research, including the benchmarking of leading companies and best practices, requiring analysis, program design considerations and cost/benefit analysis.
  • Engage with external vendors and/or consultants as required and effectively manages contracting agreements.


Who You Are
  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Psychology, Leadership or related field required. Master’s degree preferred..
  • You have 5-7 years of experience in training and development, specific to developing leadership competence.
  • You have previous experience coaching adults in an organization preferred.
  • You have Certifications in psychometric assessments (e.g. EQ, MBTI, PI) preferred and Coaching certification preferred.
  • You have extensive knowledge of adult learning and leadership development theory and practices.
  • You have exceptional presentation and facilitation skills.
  • You have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and project an executive presence.
  • You have the ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • You have the ability to facilitate difficult conversations by listening for understanding and asking challenging questions.
  • You have the ability to juggle multiple clients who have diverse goals and focus areas.
  • You have the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and internal clients.
  • You are committed to meeting deadlines by setting priorities and demonstrating excellent time management
  • You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages.

Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
