Position Description & Details:

The Department of Management and Marketing in the College of Business at North Dakota State University seeks applications for a full-time (non-tenure track) position of lecturer in the areas of professional selling, sales management, and sales technology. For a lecturer, the normal teaching load is eight three-credit courses per academic year (or equivalent). Specific responsibilities are as follows:

• Teach sales-related courses with the teaching load of eight three-credit courses per year (or equivalent).
• Engage in professional activities to maintain faculty qualification as an instructional practitioner.
• Be engaged in a variety of services to include: participating in student recruiting for the professional selling program; participating in various student-related and professional activities of the Center for Professional Selling and Sales Technology, work with businesses to advance the mission of the Center for Professional Selling and Sales Technology.

Work Schedule:

40 hours/ week

following the academic schedule from August 16 to May 15 - 9 month position

Minimum Qualifications:

• MBA from an AACSB accredited Business School
• Relevant work experience related to sales
• Ability to teach various courses in the sales curriculum
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in an interdisciplinary environment
• Experience and ability to interact and collaborate with businesses and students

Preferred Qualifications:

• Record of quality teaching in the sales field
• Experience in coaching and mentoring students for professional activities
• Experience with teaching/working with sales technologies
