Make a difference every day! We're hiring for Behavioral Health Technicians. Full and part-time positions available.

Behavioral Health Technicians provide high quality direct care and training for the support of individuals with behavioral, developmental, and/or mental health needs living in a 24-hour supervised community setting. This is a direct care position, and part of an interdisciplinary treatment team, which develops comprehensive treatment plans and monitors program outcomes. The position in designed to provide direct care and implement treatment strategies developed in the team process, with a focus on behavioral intervention.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age to work with adult clients, and at least 21 years of age to work with children.

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary education or experience in psychology, behavior management, special education, child development, or related field is preferred.

• Must have good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Must be able to complete documentation in a timely manner.

• Must have good time management skills.

• Must have dependable transportation and a current driver’s license. Car insurance and safe driving record are required.

• Must pass a comprehensive Criminal Background check.

Direct Care Responsibilities include the following:

• Follow and implement developmental and behavioral programs as outlined in the treatment plan.

• Plan cares and activities with individuals, to include cooking, cleaning, personal hygiene, community involvement, recreation and leisure skills, social activities, communication skills, personal safety skills, and appropriate adaptive behavior.

• Provide input and feedback to the team with respect to programs and care plans.

• Provide opportunities for new experiences in the community or home.

• Maintain a focus on the individual and his/her needs.

• Serve as a mentor and coach to clients. Provide guidance and direction while being a positive role model.

• Problem solve issues regarding client situations.

• Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.

• Ensure the safety and well being of the client at all times. Follow the necessary safeguards in the client’s risk assessment. For example, do not leave a client unsupervised unless this is authorized in the risk assessment.
