Test Analyst

Position Overview

A Test Analyst is responsible for identifying, communicating and strategically mitigating risks of application development throughout the SDLC through analysis, documentation, test planning, and test execution.

Responsibilities

Must be able to...

• Coordinate and develop risk mitigation efforts through test planning, design, execution, and results validation with demonstrated traceability and business transparency throughout the development process
• Provide documented requirements analysis and testing strategy by identifying and communicating testable expectations and criteria for sprint level to moderate scale development activities prior to and throughout development investments
• Mitigate risk from unintended impacts of development through regular regression testing and by contributing to an ever growing, organized, and documented regression suite

Other typical tasks may also include...

• Pair with other roles such as BA or Software Engineer on a development team to increase cross-functional knowledge
• Participate in the Testing Center of Excellence

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in an IT or Business related field or at least 2 years experience in testing analysis
• Must have clear writing, communication, and formal analysis skills, as well as strong planning skills
• Demonstrate proven behavioral skills, including being a team player, sound thinking and judgment, achieving results, relating to people, managing work effectively, and leading by example
• Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
• Must demonstrate the following behavioral competencies; analytical capacity, attention to detail, communication proficiency, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, problem solving, professionalism, project management, thoroughness, and time management

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience with business domain areas, QA, or Test Analysis
• Previous experience on an Agile team or in an Agile environment
• Previous experience working with Microsoft Team Foundation Server or Azure DevOps Server
