Description

The role of the clinic nurse is to deliver quality care to the entire family, while coordinating with all nursing staff in quality assurance, education and direct patient care. The clinic nurse will work with resident physicians, directors, office and administrative staff in pharmacy to provide quality care to patients, to keep patient flow efficient and maintain an optimum learning environment for resident physicians and other students involved in the clinic. The clinic nurse will assist in maintaining patient charts to ensure accuracy.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in care of both pediatric and family medicine patients.
  • Direct patient to exam room in a polite and timely manner.
  • Take a brief history, vital signs and record all medications and allergies.
  • Schedule various procedures and or appointments with other physicians.
  • Reports and tracks laboratory test results, and other diagnostic testing.
  • Exhibits and promotes excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and attitude.
  • Attends meetings/in-services as scheduled/required.

Required Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to work closely with faculty and resident physicians.
  • Able to work with patients and the public in a professional, confidential, and calm fashion.
  • Proficiency in working with electronic health records.
  • Abililty to work with pediatric patients.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Nursing.
  • LPN licensure in the State of North Dakota.
  • Successful completion of criminal history records check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two years experience in a clinic setting

Minimum Hiring Salary/Position Classification

Wage dependent on experience, Full-time, Benefited, Non-Exempt

Work Schedule/Start Date

Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
