Accounting Technician

Grant County, an Equal Opportunity Employer, located in Elbow Lake is currently accepting applications for the positions of a full-time Account Technician. Required qualifications include a high school diploma and an Associates/Technical degree and moderate experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or clerical work, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Under the direction of the Fiscal Manager, the Accounting Technician performs intermediate technical work processing payables and receivables, maintaining accounting records and preparing financial reports, and related work as apparent or assigned. This position is responsible for preparing all cash disbursements including verifying, coding, entering, issuing and mailing all payables and coding and posting all cash receipts. Also, issues checks, posting receipts, and maintaining accurate records for the Social Service Welfare fund; compiling information for payroll, ordering office supplies, and processing office system bills. This position will also be responsible for providing backup for the front desk as needed.

This is a full-time position, exempt, union position. Anticipated beginning pay is $19.32 per hour. Health insurance and pension benefits are offered.
