Medcor is looking to hire Allied Health Professionals, EMTs (all levels) to be COVID-19 Screeners at our client's construction site in Sioux Falls, SD. These are variable hour positions that would need to work 2:00pm - 10:00pm or 10:00pm - 5:00am. The site operates 7 days a week. This is expected to last until September 30, 2021. This position pays $27 per hour. This position provides COVID-19 screening services as per the Medcor Care Protocol. In order to be successful in this role one must possess the following characteristics: Quick Learner, Strong Interpersonal Skills with all Communication mediums, Creative and Innovative, Fosters Teamwork, Demonstrates Leadership Qualities, Strong Organization and Planning Skills, Ability to Solve Problems, but knows when to ask for input and help. Excellent responsiveness and quick follow-up to requests are key. Detailed knowledge about COVID-19 and educating employees through sharing the updates provided by Medcor Clinical Affairs. We are actively recruiting for individuals who have active certifications including: EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-P, CNA, CMA, Medical Assistant, Nurse Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Outdoor Emergency Care

Job Requirements:
A typical day in the life of a Medcor COVID-19 Screener Provide screenings to employees who volunteer, using Medcor protocol and non-contact infrared thermometers Provide patient care (where necessary) according to Patient Care Protocol Provide COVID-19 FAQ's and educational material with daily status updates (as available) from our Clinical Affairs team Site liaison for following preventative practices (proper hygiene, social distancing and other practices) Put on (don) and remove (doff) personal protective equipment (PPE) per company protocol (Medcor to provide training resource as needed) Enter data in Medcor's database Provide data to client upon request or as agreed to by client Disseminating relevant client policies and info given to us and as directed by client Being a general resource to client and employees General Maintenance of the facility which includes: Sanitization of screening station as per the protocol and at least once per day Sterilization of equipment/instruments used Inventory and ordering of medical and office supplies You Must Have experience working in a healthcare setting (Allied healthcare professionals will be considered and are encouraged to apply) need to provide proof of current certifications Have a current CPR certification - need to provide proof of current certification Be able to check temperature using a thermometer (Medcor to provide training as needed) Be able to wear required COVID-19 PPE for up to 12 hours per shift (face mask, eye protection, medical gloves, gown, etc.) Be able to wear required construction site PPE for up to 12 hours per shift (hard hat, steel toed boots, safety vest, etc.) Be comfortable working in a construction environment Be able to work in an outdoor environment (subject to change) Be able to pass a fit test for a respirator based on OSHA laws and compliance standards (facial hair must not interfere with seal of mask) Have strong English skills Be able to repeatedly climb a 3-step ladder, and perform bending, lifting, twisting, reaching, squeezing, and standing for long periods of time Have strong communication and customer service skills Have strong technology skills (navigate cell phone or tablet & texting) Learn Medcor's COVID-19 information once hired (provided by Medcor) It's a Plus If You are bilingual (English & Spanish) Work Environment: The COVID-19 Screener is required to work in a variety of work environments designated by the client. The COVID-19 Screener will be working in a potentially high COVID-19 exposure environment with known and unknown associated health risks. Individuals with underlying health conditions who contract COVID-19 have greater risk for morbidity and mortality as defined by the Centers for Disease Control (cdc.gov) and should consider these risks prior to accepting this position.
