Robert Half Finance is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst on behalf of a fast-growing Institutional Investment Management Firm. In this Senior Financial Analyst position, you will be tasked with measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans and conducting financial modeling on a wide range of financial products. Additionally, you will be responsible for preparing reports for management and advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives. As a key business partner on a dynamic team, you will work in areas including forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will be expected to successfully support world class strategic and financial planning methods, build long-range operating plans to support business imperatives and develop rolling forecast processes to ensure resources every quarter are consumed at maximum effectiveness. Along with your main responsibilities, you will assist with operationalizing and cultivating a more data-driven planning process and improved monthly and quarterly reporting. In this role, you will be directly involved in the coordination of various planning cycles (annual planning, quarterly forecasts and monthly outlooks), while providing strategic analyses and recommendations. You will provide variance analysis of bookings, revenues and expenses, clearly explaining the business reasons for variances and adjusting the outlook models to reflect operational adjustments. Your responsibilities in this role


- Collaborate with senior executives on strategic deep dives on creating financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, event tracking and execution, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, and strategic resource allocation, and prioritization


- Propel monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions necessary


- Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close processes


- Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Accounting and Operations to ensure plans are executed properly


- Compile and monitor forecasting reports


- Have a thorough understanding of internal and external drivers and be able to explain how they are impacting performance and trending


- This position requires a flexible individual who is adept at managing expectations and comfortable with handling large amounts of information


- Track of monthly and quarterly performance by comparing actuals versus expectations to ensure business partners handle their resources r


- Recognize potential risks and opportunities while analyzing performance to date


- Provide valuable foresight and decision support through effective Business Intelligence (BI)


- Drive P& L forecasting and Area/Segment-level Bookings on a weekly, quarterly and annual basis

Job Requirements:

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field (an MBA or CPA is preferred)


- Sound written and verbal communication skills


- 3+ years of experience in Financial Analysis - Ideally in the financial Services industry


- Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement


- Financial planning & analysis


- Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system


- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds


- Adeptness in Microsoft Excel


- General familiarity with budgeting


- Demonstrated knowledge of Annual Budget


- Provide Variance Analysis experience


- Knowledge of financial planning


- Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis


- Financial Statement experience


- Strong familiarity with Financial Services
