YOUR ROLE

  • Managed process improvement and engineering support of metal pre-treatment technical projects for customers, and sales teams, working in the Henkel Madison Heights, MI lab and onsite at customer manufacturing facilities.
  • Serve as technical liaison with customers, sales, marketing, manufacturing and R&D and identify new product development opportunities.
  • Assist sales in conducting line audits and development of value add/proposition calculations to maintain existing business and close new business.
  • Provide technical support for the launch of new products/lines/process.
  • Compiles information for the selection of Surface Treatment products, for existing core business customer projects and new business opportunities.
  • Responsible for coordinating and processing all customer projects through the applications lab.
  • Travel an average of 30%.


YOUR SKILLS

  • B.S. Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or other Technical degree is required.
  • 1+ (internships acceptable) years of engineering experience in a lab or manufacturing environment is required.
  • Experience in a surface pre-treatment, paint, or coatings environment is preferred.
  • Customer facing experience (providing product application training) preferred.
  • Demonstrated time management, project management and laboratory skills.
  • Strong ability to build customer relationships and interpersonal skills.
