Disaster Recovery Architect/Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Disaster Recovery Architect/Engineer for a contract lasting through 12/31/2021 working with an insurance company in Franklin, WI.

Description:
This role will work independently with application and infrastructure teams with minimal direction and support from my team.
Responsibilities:

• Partner with key teams to ensure solutions meet DR requirements and execute on the disaster recovery strategy, including gap identification, assessment, and remediation
• Solid understanding of the application architecture and how applications consume infrastructure.
• Analyze various application patterns and develop disaster recovery scenarios/resilience requirements
• Document current state of DR plans for applications, determine gaps, and create remediation plans
• Plan, facilitate, execute, and document cross-functional (technology and business) disaster recovery planning and testing, including Tabletop and Business Process Functional exercises
• Act as a subject matter expert to system owners on industry standards and best practices for disaster recovery
• Assess current disaster recovery strategy, impacts and risks including business, legal and IT perspectives
• Ensure comprehensive disaster recovery plans exists, are readily available, and can be used to recover technology assets during an event
• Partner with infrastructure and application engineering teams to ensure solutions meet DR requirements, including gap identification, assessment, and remediation
• Lead disaster recovery efforts in the event of a site outage
• Provide off-hours support as required for recovery activities or exercises

Qualifications:

• Must have experience building dashboards using PowerBI
• 3+years of experience required
• Able to independently build quality DR plans for technical services and applications
• Able to conduct an assessment of application and infrastructure components and identify gaps related to disaster recovery
