Accounts Payable Clerk

Accountemps is actively seeking an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an integral part of a high performing team at a growing company in the food manufacturing industry. The Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. We seek out ambitious candidates with a proven track record within the Accounts Payable speciality. Based out of the Lake Mills, Wisconsin area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract project.

Major responsibilities

- Enter and code a high volume of invoices

- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

- Seek necessary approvals prior to cutting checks

- Perform 3-way match functions within Accounts Payable

- Communicate directly with external vendors to resolve any issues

- Reconcile A/P records, identifying and resolving discrepancies

- 1+ years or prior experience in an A/P role require

- High attention to detail

- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

- Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds

- Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases

- Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
