Position Summary:The Rhinelander Agricultural Research Station, or RARS, is part of UW-Madison and supports the research and outreach efforts of UW-Madison scientists, with a focus on potato breeding and variety development. RARS has 170 tillable acres, managed on a 3-year rotation for seed potato production. The station has seven greenhouses totaling 13,000 sq. ft. and controlled environment storage for 2,500 cwt. Some overtime during the field season at RARS is expected and when commuting to the Hancock Research Station, which is two hours from RARS.
