Overall Objective: The Water Business Development Manager is mainly responsible for selling Indar Water Pumping products to its customers. The position is responsible for implementing a sales strategy encompassing region, market segment and account objectives which will strengthen existing relationships with key customers and capture new customers, which include EPCs, Contractors, Developers and Utilities, ultimately to achieve sales objectives.


Ingeteam's U.S. Headquarters is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, but employee can work remote for this position. May have to travel to Milwaukee and other areas, periodically, as the need arises.


Responsibilities

Leadership/Sales tasks:

?? To lead all sales effort within US territory, establishing Indar as a leader in the utility and commercial scale water pumping market. Direct and oversee the sales business. Implement sales strategy and establish and set objectives and goals, in line with the yearly Management Plan and Strategic Plan of the company to ultimately achieve sales objectives. Present strategy to management and coordinate and report on activities to parent company in Spain.

?? To lead the commercial action in US and interface directly with relevant market players. Engineering firms, EPC, Contractors, Developers, IPP and Utilities customers, water authorities and Indar Distributors. Establish and manage relationships with new customers and strengthen existing customer relationships. Identify and pursue opportunities and capture sales. Identify, support and influence key decision makers. Identify, develop and convert sales leads.

?? To lead the common Sales Life Cycle of an order, starting from an identification of an opportunity, proposal generation and submittals thru contract negotiation and final approval of a purchase order.

?? Carry out jointly with Corporate (Indar Beasain) the tasks related to bidding processes presented in the US territory.

?? Conduct numerous face-to-face meetings and strategic conference calls with customers.

?? Provide sales and technical support to customers, including best matching between projects spec's/constraints/compliance and Indar products.

?? Take initiative and fulfill duties consistent with company standards, policies and expense budget


Customer related tasks:

?? Enhance customer satisfaction by providing a technical support and after-sales advice, recommending improvement measures.

?? Fulfill actual sales working procedure. Negotiate terms and conditions of sale with costumers if applicable.


Technical tasks:

?? Ensure tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and environmental, health and safety standards, policies and procedures.

?? To help identify business unit internal strengths and weaknesses, as well as its external opportunities and threats.

?? To stay well informed about the policies and business water pumping market status in each of the assigned regions under his/her responsibility.

?? To work with product development and product management/marketing to ensure products support customer requirements. To collect information about competitor's products and strategies.

?? Manage and prioritize daily workload.

?? Participate during internal sales calls and communicate results.

?? Attend and support industry events and tradeshows.

?? To follow the company's core values including its mission and vision, and to stay aligned with its strategic business plan on a corporate level and business unit level

?? Improve his/her individual skills with summits, workshops and training


Requirements:

?? 5 + years of experience in sales with a strong emphasis in water pump with key customer relationships.

?? Strong knowledge and experience of the water pumping market and customer is highly valued

?? Strong experience selling Water pumping system solutions to customers

?? Provide consultative selling, negotiate and close large opportunities

?? Proven ability to work with multiple functional areas and interdepartmental teams

?? Proven ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects and effectively determine priorities

?? Exceptional written and spoken communication skills are a must.

?? Strong communication and presentation skills

?? Successful water pumps sales experience

?? Competent in assessing customer needs and identifying sales opportunities

?? Good people skills, able to manage and motivate.

?? Proactive and results oriented to work in a rapidly growing industry

?? Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills required

?? Strong team orientation, foster teamwork with improved ideas and resolution to problems

?? Extremely organized

?? Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) required. Ability to analyze data and prepare and present reports to management and customers.

?? Ensure tasks are performed according to organizational requirements for quality management and environmental, health and safety standards, policies and procedures.

?? Ability to work in faced paced environment

?? Ability to effectively work remotely

?? Travel required according to needs


Academic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Mechanical and/or Electrical/ Electronic Engineer valued) required
  • Knowledge of CRM tools is a plus
  • Strong computer skills essential - thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and web-based applications.
