Environmental Engineer Intern

DescriptionWill be going on to active construction job sites and performing air quality, air monitoring and some water sampling. Majority of the job sites will be at K 12 schools that are remodeling or adding an addition. You will go on the job site, connect with the project manager on site, then conduct sampling. Will be required to perform multiple different tests and then read the results. Once you have examined the results, you are required to document the results and explain to the contractor if the site is safe to continue with construction. Will be conducting multiple samples a day and test the samples within the same or next day.Required?? Interest in environmental health and safety field?? Pursing a Bachelor of degree or finished a degree (Environmental, Construction Management, Biology)?? 500 hours of working on a construction site (landscaping is acceptable)?? Need to be able to start May 10th (will get certified for testing this week)Performance ExpectationsThis individual needs to have high attention to detail they are taking the samples and then checking those samples under a microscope. Need to be able to read the samples correctly then document their findings. The will then be giving those results the contractor or school district.
