Gas Utility Mechanic 5 or Higher

Wisconsin Public Service, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Gas Utility Mechanic 5 or Higher at the Sheboygan Service Center.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and become proficient in some of the duties associated with the maintenance and installation of gas mains, services, and associated components.
• Work to understand the importance of good communication with customers, contractors and others.
• Learn to complete required records.
• Perform other related and incidental duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Valid driver's license
• Must have a minimum of one year of natural gas distribution and/or natural gas construction experience. In lieu of the experience, an individual must possess a Gas Utility Construction and Service Technical Diploma or equivalent Technical Diploma
• Must have CDL or obtain CDL within 3 months of accepting the position

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Gas Utility Construction and Service Technical Diploma or equivalent Technical Diploma is preferred
