Come join us and help shape the future!WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Civil Engineer out of our Minneapolis, MN office.Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in design reviews from concept to advertisement and oversee design developmentLead local design teams on special projects and design tasksMentor and coach civil staff in the officePrepare and review construction specificationsAssist in managing annual updates of standards and manualsEffectively and clearly communicate to wide range of professionals, inside and outside the organizationWork closely with other team members on multi-disciplinary transportation infrastructure projectsTalent is the essence of meeting our client's objectives, goals and challenges. If this sounds like a fit for you, we'd love to have that first discussion of you joining our team.Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications:Ability to quickly adapt to challenges and problem solve solutions.Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a closely related fieldLicensed Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain in 6 months.7 years of design, construction, engineering, architecture, and/or project management experienceAbility to rapidly absorb and interpret technical informationFluency with modern design and development principlesAbility to manage assignments independentlyAbility to read and understand civil/roadway construction plansExcellent communication and technical writing skillsProficiency in Microstation, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and proceduresProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening.Preferred QualificationsKnowledge of the Minnesota Department of Transportation Bureau and AASHTO design criteriaKnowledge of construction field inspection and applicable specificationsMnDOT experienceAbout WSP USAWSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
