Children's Services Coordinator

Thorson Memorial Library is looking for our next Children's Services Coordinator. Our ideal candidate will be passionate, kind, and eager to share books with young people! This position serves the programming and outreach needs of children birth through school age and their families, as well as maintaining a good working relationship with local schools/teachers, marketing, readers' advisory and answering general reference questions.

Applicants should have a thorough understanding of childhood developmental stages and maintain a professional understanding of new programs, trends, and technologies. Position is 10-12 hours a week. Associate degree in early childhood education OR two-year degree in a closely-related program AND meaningful experience with responsibility for children's programming required. Experience in a public library setting preferred.
