Concrete Craftsmen

ULG has a client in Kaukauna, WI in search of LOCAL candidates for the below positions. Anyone from entry level to top foreman invited to apply!

$16 - $30/hr based on experience

Foreman
Have the ability to coordinate an entire project, be a problem solver and possess the ambition to strive for the best possible product. Must have the ability to read plans and understand the process from start to finish. Forman must also have the ability to run trowel machines and finish floors. Candidate must be proficient in running a laser transit, setting grades and layout jobs from start to finish.

Crew Lead
The ability to manage and lead a crew. Have substantial experience in all aspects of the concrete industry. Implement direct orders from a foreman and work hand in hand with crew foreman to complete jobs. Have the ability to work independently when needed.

Laser Screed Operator
Have extensive background in running laser screeds. Must be able to setup set-up pours, operate the laser screed and maintain the equipment. Candidate must be proficient in setting up and operating a transit.

Operator 2
CDL and clean MVR required. Must be able to operate heavy equipment and CDL vehicles. Duties include operating skid steers, early entry saws and operating laser grader. Candidate should be proficient in running a transit and fine grading.

Operator 1
Applicants must have a valid driver's license. Duties of this position include: Operating skid steers, soffcut saws, and telehandlers. Participate in the placement of rebar and application of sealers and curing compounds. Candidate must be able to drive professionally to deliver to job sites and have experience driving large vehicles while pulling trailers.

Finisher 3
This position requires substantial experience in operating ride-on power trowels, panning slabs and finishing commercial floors. ACI certified commercial flatwork finishers. Candidate should be knowledgeable and self-sufficient in all aspects of interior and exterior concrete.

Lead Finisher recognition:
The ability to coordinate the finishing crew, be a problem solver and possess the ambition to strive for the best possible product Be familiar with entire finish and placement process. Must have a valid driver's license

Finisher 2
Candidates must be proficient on walk behind trowel machines and edge machines. This position requires substantial experience in saw cutting, sealing and brooming exterior concrete. Must be knowledgeable on the process of finishing floors. Must be self-sufficient in exterior broomed paving. Candidate must also have experience with setting grades and using a laser transit

Finisher 1
Entry level finisher with knowledge of forming, placement and finishing. Proficient in hand finishing, brooming, working edges, operating on sliders, forming, saw cutting and sealing. Have the ability to operate bump cutters, check roads and floats. Must also be familiar with steel forms and wood forming.

Labor 2
One year of construction or concrete experience. Must be knowledgeable in placing concrete, puddling, raking, rebar, strip forms and clean- up of job site.

Labor 1
No experience required. Minimal construction knowledge. Willing to learn and work hard.

• Placing the concrete either directly from the concrete wagon chute, concrete pump, concrete skip or wheelbarrow
• Finish concrete walls & slabs
• Install embedded steel items in concrete
• Ordering concrete to avoid disruptions in supply
• Ordering stone and concrete to avoid overages
• Order and coordinate delivery schedules for concrete materials
• Mixing of concrete, and setting of forms
• Load and secure equipment and attachments to transport vehicle
• Assign workers to such tasks as cutting material to size, building concrete forms, setting grades, pouring and finishing concrete
• Remove rough defects from concrete using concrete grinder or chisel and hammer
• Locate, measure and lay out locations for placement of concrete
• Setting the concrete forms, ensuring the correct depth and pitch
• Placing, finishing, protecting and repairing concrete in construction projects
• Supervise concrete finishing and clean-up
• Run finisher equipment and use machines that vibrate concrete to fill air pockets
• Pressing an edger between the forms and the concrete to chamber the edges
• Manage all aspects of concrete flat work, depending upon role, including manpower
• Manage all aspects of building concrete structures or flat work, depending upon role, including manpower
• Form and finish concrete to grade Construction Foreman with relevant of five years of experience
• Obtain Work Acceptance Form on each completed job
