As a lead in this group, you will manage a team that interprets and analyzes clinical data to support product value definition and validation, statistical and predictive modeling and ongoing product enhancements which drive affordability. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Analytics leaders and Product stakeholders to define and prioritize analytic roadmap
  • Manage and develop a team of researchers and data analysts by leading projects from conceptualization to completion
  • Guide your team to develop and present analytic value stories which demonstrate the impact of OptumHealth products, particularly Care and Condition Management
  • Recommend appropriate analytic methodologies and techniques to execute against an analysis plan or research objectives, analyze data by researching complex functional issues using a variety of resources
  • Present study designs, methodologies and results to internal and external customers
  • Build strong relationships with product and business leaders in Optum and UnitedHealth Group

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in health care informatics and performing analysis on health data metrics
  • 3+ years of management experience with progressive levels of accountability
  • 3+ years of experience performing program evaluations using advanced statistics
  • Advanced level proficiency with SAS
  • Advanced level of proficiency working with MS Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros, etc.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and initiative in order to excel in a fast-paced environment, pivot priorities as business needs shift and lead others through change
  • Exceptional presentation skills and professional communication style
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $110,200 to $211,700.
