Quality Test Engineer Architect

Position Summary:

Provides thought leadership and mentorship to drive a culture of quality throughout Enterprise Technology. Collaborates with leaders throughout ET and on Agile teams to increase quality outcomes. Designs, codes, and implements software testing solutions, tools, and infrastructure. Continuously improves testing capabilities for the organization by applying industry best practices and enhancing business capabilities.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for Enterprise Technology Quality Assurance.
• Lead efforts to support and articulate the testing strategy and technologies required to deliver quality products.
• Support teams to design, create and deliver test automation within their agile teams.
• Evaluate and recommend testing tools, techniques, and quality practices.
• Ensure automation code quality, leveragability, and maintainability through code reviews, standards, etc.
• Provide metrics to establish baselines and track quality and efficiency improvements over time.
• Provide thought leadership and creative ideas to ensure product and integration quality.
• Partner with the cloud, application development, agile, security, value stream, and DevOps teams to ensure test efficiency and coverage practices and tools.
• Promote, apply, and recommend Quality Standards to further Continuous Delivery & Continuous Improvement.
• Collaborate closely with other ET leaders to establish a culture for quality, including a "shift left" focus for finding defects sooner and discussing defect root causes and ways of preventing future defects.

Qualifications:

• Experience 3+ Years as a QA Lead and 5+ years as a QA Analyst.
• Experience 3+ years in one or more programming languages, software engineering methodologies, and software quality tools:
• Experience with Web APIs, AWS Cloud technologies
• JavaScript, NodeJS, Jest, Junit, HTML5, CSS, JSON, SQL
• WebDriver IO, Postman, Newman, Cucumber, Jasmine
• VSCode, GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, SonarQube
• Experience with distributed logging, distributed data stores
• Experience with developing, writing, and executing robust test scripts.
• Strong technical aptitude and experience with the software tools and techniques used in software development and automated testing.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into test strategy and test cases, estimating Agile testing tasks.
• Effective time management, ability to plan and prioritize work effectively.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build solid relationships with team members.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Deep understanding of industry test automation, test environment, and test data management strategies and frameworks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Computer Science, Mathematics or a related field
• 5+ years in Quality Assurance related field
• 3+ years test automation experience.
• 3+ years of Java/JavaScript programming and CI/CD experience
• Experience with various types of testing including regression, performance, stress, unit, API, integration, and security testing
• 1+ years Amazon AWS Cloud testing experience
