As Field Engineer you will lead the quality control process, and assist the construction management team with scheduling, coordination, and assisting all trades and sub-contractors work through issues in the construction field. About 75% of time will be spent in the field overseeing the construction of large apartment buildings. It means having a system to not forget any, even small, aspects of your job.Job duties may include, but are not limited to: Comprehend design documents Answer RFI's Improve efficiency Value engineer during construction Document field meeting minutes Ensure code compliance during construction Organize and maintain site documentation including drawings, permits, log books, and inspections Manage punch list of all sub-contractors and self-perform trades Track project revisions through-out the construction phase Watershed maintenance Understanding sub-contractor scope responsibility and holding them accountable Coordinate subcontractors Establish and monitor quality control Walk with city officials during inspections Perform material take-offs Ensure safety of the site RequirementsEducation High school diploma or equivalent (Required) College degree in construction management or engineering (Preferred but not required) Experience 2-4 years previous construction experience (Preferred but not required) Multi-family new construction experience (Preferred but not required) Other required knowledge, skills, and abilities Ability to respond to continually changing priorities Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills Sound judgement, attention to detail, & decision-making skills Strong work ethic and commitment to excellence Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English Other requirements Must pass criminal background check Valid driver's license & reliable vehicle Must have permission to work in the United States (Required) Benefits Unlimited Paid Time Off Health Care Plan (ICHRA) Retirement Plan (Simple IRA) Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD) Short Term Disability Training & Development Career Advancement Opportunities
