Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to grow a career in the Home & Personal Care (HPC) Division with a focus on driving profitability & revenue growth. You will be the finance partner with the Marketing & New Product Development organizations to develop profitable strategic plans and business cases for innovation and product development. In addition, you will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis including preparation of periodic financial reporting, Advertising/Marketing expense management, and variance analysis. There will be a constant focus on building efficiency via process improvement/simplification.

You will be instrumental in developing a strong analytical environment and will have the opportunity to influence the product strategy and execution of the organization. Additionally, you will be afforded diversity with interaction within the organization as a finance liaison and be a part of a dynamic team.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

(25%) Develop financial models with Marketing and NPD organizations to build business cases for new product introductions.
(25%) Lead Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and monthly estimate process for Marketing and NPD functions.
(25%) Streamline product profitability reporting and work with the marketing team to optimize product portfolio profitability.
(10%) Drive accountability for NPD results through post audits of new product launch results.
(15%) Prepare & analyze actual monthly results and related variance analysis for Marketing department.

Education and Experience Profile

Bachelor's degree required. Accounting or Finance degree preferred. MBA/CPA a plus.
5+ years finance and accounting experience.
Experience in systems and business analysis, including at least 3 years project management experience in a large, sophisticated business environment.
Experience in working in a cross-functional environment.
Thorough understanding of decision support systems theory, optimization tradeoffs, integrity concepts and content evaluation. Incumbent must have the ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience.

Required Skills

Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations; listens and gets clarification. Responds well to questions; participate and present information in meetings.
Broad knowledge of principles and practices of facilities operations, maintenance, and management.
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Tools.
Working familiarity with vendors and products commonly used in the above systems.
Technical proficiency in SAP, Internet tools, and OLAP systems.
Expertise in data modeling and schema development.
Adherence to structured analysis, and design techniques.
Proven success with managing projects that deliver results.
Demonstrated ability to present analysis to management.
Effectively work and lead technical people when resolving business issues.
Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-financial team members.
