Our client is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their Transport team. The Full Charge Bookkeeper will control payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, and full cycle A/P. The clerical staff will be managed by the Full Charge Bookkeeper. Accounting professional who thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision this could be the Bookkeeper role for you if you are self-driven and organized. This full-time employment opportunity is based in the Rosemount, Minnesota area.

How you will make an impact

- Look after Accounts Payable

- Other distinguished projects when necessary

- Conduct monthly accounting close

- Categorize sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

- File budget transfers

- Experience with Accounts Receivable

- Business license and gross receipts coverage

- Plan monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

- Competent in credit card management and reconciliation

- Prepare subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

- File cash flow projections, as needed

- Produce cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.

Job Requirements:
- Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills highly desired

- Considerable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

- 5+ years of related experience- Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus

- Proven analytical skills with ability to implement solutions and vendor management experience with good organizational skills

- Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Quality experience with year end closings

- General familiarity with general ledger

- Strong familiarity with Peachtree Accounting Software

- Microsoft Excel experience preferred

- Proven knowledge of financial statement preparation

- Foundational knowledge in Peachtree Sage

- Analyze Financial Statements experience

- Well-founded grasp of journal entries

- Practical knowledge of month end closings

- Solid understanding of bookkeeping

- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
