MYR Energy Services, a subsidiary of MYR Group Inc, serves customers participating in nationwide engineer-procure-construct (EPC), larger transmission and substation construction projects, and renewable energy project delivery. Customers are served through local operating companies or newly established offices for specific projects. MYRE also provides EPC contracting services for renewable and solar energy facilities throughout the U.S. including permitting, energy storage, complete solar facilities, and substation and transmission line interconnections.

*Please NOTE: This position is a traveling position and will require travel across the United States*

The Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day oversight of field crew operations, ensuring that the quality of work and materials is upheld, and that the budget is followed as planned.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for the supervision, scheduling and coordination of all mechanical solar field installation crews
  • Responsible for training and development of field crew, foremen, and general foremen
  • Build and maintain relationships with the customer, inspectors, and other trades
  • Coordinate production with mechanical or electrical and civil trades to ensure flow and productivity rates
  • Work closely with foremen and field crews to ensure all installations meet quality standards
  • Manage material and personnel requirements necessary to meet the project schedule and production rates
  • Ensure all on-site personnel comply with project procedures as well as safety program requirements
  • Lead daily Stretch and Bend and associated safety talks
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Essential functions of this position are to be performed at a Company-designated office or field location
  • Understand and comply with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other industry-specific professional and ethical conduct standards



Principal Skills/Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple field crews and projects
  • 15 years or more in the general construction trades, civil construction or erection contractor
  • 5 years or more in a lead role within the solar industry is required
  • Must be able to manage multiple field installation crews
  • Must have experience in all aspects pile, tracker and module installation for utility scale solar construction
  • Proficient in the development and implementation of company and contract procedures to include safety, compliance, and documentation of a project
  • Thorough knowledge of reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and contract documents
  • Proficiency with MS Project and MS Suite such as Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to travel and work at remote worksites is required
  • Possess a strong work ethic, good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

    Preferred Education
  • Journeyman certification or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
  • High school diploma or GED is required
