Genesis10 is seeking a Lead Pega Systems Architect for a contract position with our client in Eagan, MN. Currently remote.

Purpose:
Rapidly prototype user interfaces of proposed features. Create business domain specific workflows with rule-based decision logic. Produce Pega applications to enhance user experience and optimize the daily job activities of business customers across multiple business domains. This position provides a very high degree of technical knowledge in application systems development and provides technical consultative direction and instruction to departmental and non-departmental personnel. Accountable to manage and deliver projects from a technical perspective, including hand-on development, assigning tasks to team members, estimating effort, prioritizing activities, and planning for project risks. Extensive interaction and communication with business clients. Responsibilities include the design, development, testing, and documentation of complex application business solutions. Activities include investigating, identifying, and resolving complex business application system issues and proposed functional changes.

Position Overview:
Daily Responsibilities/Job Description:
Coordinate & lead activities for a development team including extensive communication with business clients and development partners (vendors). Assist in developing and refining business requirements and providing technical solutioning.
Responsible for application deployment management; Conduct driver and Intent Task configuration and External Integration utilizing knowledge of Pega Implementation Methodology.
Carry out customized reporting, including Report Definitions; Execute code reviews and performance tuning; Create and manage Intent and Circumstance based process flows.
Research and recommend changes where technology can be leveraged within the overall application environment to improve efficiency, lower costs, and enhance the quality of business applications.
Assist management in making strategic decisions regarding software and hardware use. Participate in the early stages of large project development to ensure consistent approaches in the technical design across projects/programs.
Develop and apply theories and methods to solve complex technical problems. Develop, test, and debug programs of difficult complexity.
Lead technical personnel in the design development and deployment of custom applications.
Accountable for maintaining and monitoring adherence to architecture, design, and coding principles.
Drive the continual improvement of design and development standards and processes.
Mentor developers in the interpretation of architectural principal and in the application of technologies.
Participate in the System Development Life Cycle process: documenting requirements, creating functional specifications, creating detailed design documentation, implementation and support.
Analyze, define, and document requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls, and outputs.
Assist technical support staff on the use of application systems software as needed. Assist and mentor less experienced staff in, coding, testing, and debugging.
Maintain regular written communications on project status with Team lead and IT management.
Troubleshoot production problems within assigned software applications.
Represent IT department on interdepartmental development teams.
Other duties as assigned

Interaction level with Management/Team Members:
Daily and constant interaction with scrum team members, qa, members across other IT areas, release managers, project managers and resource manager are required. This position will interact with Upper management.

Skills Overview:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Pega PCLSA or CLSA (Pega Certified Lead System Architect)
10+ years extensive technical experience in a variety of IT areas, including:
o 10+ years hands-on Pega development experience
o 1+ years Pega Platform V8.x experience
o 5+ years integration experience with databases and SQL
o 5+ years integration experience with SOAP or RESTful Web services
o 5 years' experience as a Systems Architect in the Design, Development, Migration, Deployment and Integration of Pega Platform
o 5+ years architecting system solutions for cross-platform environments, including options proposal creation, documentation and presentation of these solutions to peers and management
Strong experience scoping, planning and delivering projects using iterative or agile software development lifecycles over multiple cycles
Previous experience as a Pega CLSA on multiple large-scale product or enterprise designs
Experience in all phases of software development including design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and production support of large-scale, business centric and process-based applications.
Demonstrated knowledge and application of Object-Oriented techniques and principles
Experience in architecting and designing business applications using Pega and other Pega solution frameworks including enterprise class structure and foundational components
Experience integrating enterprise applications with Pega solutions
Responsible for architecting and designing business applications using Pega and other Pega solution frameworks
Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies
Exposure to or understanding of private or public cloud deployments of Pega (TANZU/GCP).
Exposure to or understanding of Pega Deployment Manager for CI/CD.
Exposure to or understanding of Pega Robotics
Provides architecture and design guidance to project teams
Provide thought-leadership across business and technical project dimensions solving complex business requirements
Develops and demonstrates an advanced knowledge of Pega Platform Architecture and all Pega design and implementation features
Accountable for ensuring the business and technical architecture of the delivered solution matches to technical and functional requirements.
Experience building strong collaborative relationships
Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience on Pega CSHC is highly preferred
7 years' experience with Team Leadership
Extensive knowledge of Pega Platform architecture
Familiar with Pega Express or similar development methodologies
Strong data modeling skills with demonstrated ability to analyze, define, and implement enhancements to a data model. Specifically, this includes the specification of file types, field attributes, and database relations
Experience with private or public cloud deployments of Pega (TANZU/GCP).
Experience with Pega Deployment Manager for CI/CD.
Experience/Exposure to Pega Robotics
Experience with JIRA and Confluence
Demonstrated ability to translate systems requirements or user stories into functional program specifications
Ability to effectively communicate the impact of proposed business requirements to system models and processing.
Strong presentation skills to all levels of the company.
Ability to mentor and lead small technical teams through design walkthroughs, code reviews, unit and system tests
Experience working in environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
Able to effectively work with ambiguity and in a face-paced/high change environment
Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
Understanding of security implications of domain
Desire to work with management and lead others
Minimum Physical Job Requirements:
