Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

This is a full time summer temporary position. This role will start in May and end in August.

Position Overview

The Product Content Management Coordinator will primarily assist Digi-Key's Content Analysts & Managers with entering & managing all electronic product data to ensure the data is complete and accurate, while enabling usage of the product data across internal and external customers. A successful Coordinator will be a team player, manage their time effectively, is willing to learn new technologies, and is able to work with limited supervision. The Product Content Management Coordinator generates queries to ensure the product data collected are logical, consistent, and follow protocol. This person assists in the development of edit checks, reviews data for inconsistencies and addresses query responses from the Digi-key locations.

Responsibilities

Must be able to...
  • Maintain standards and procedures regarding product data management, which includes email, document management, and unstructured data systems
  • Sort, organize, classify and file processed product detail & documentation
  • Read and interpret product datasheets, catalogs and technical marketing content
  • Read and understand content & data protocols
  • Follow Digi-Key's Content|Data Management processes, SOPs, WPs and WIs
  • Assist with gathering and processing data for ISO, Environmental and Compliance requests
  • Simple taxonomy assignments
  • Work with other business units as requested to perform data imports, exports, and conversions
  • Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of the product data prior to entry
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of the product data entry, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Contact suppliers to request and/or verify product content contained or available to ensure complete and accurate management of supplier data
  • Locate and correct product data errors and communicate with applicable staff, supervisors and management to facilitate timely resolution of discrepancies to ensure adherence to data entry deadlines
  • Review protocol to identify data discrepancies through an edit check process
  • Encourage and implement continuous performance and process improvement measures within the data entry process
  • Attending project team meetings on an as needed basis
  • Maintain logs of activities of day-to-day work
  • Generate and review query requests from Digi-Key offices around the globe
  • Keep Content Data Manager informed of progress and any issues that may impact process compliance, data integrity, reporting accuracy, timelines, or quality
  • Participate in answering internal/external questions via Hunt Group, Email, UCC
  • Participate in product trainings, including technical
  • Participate in supplier meetings as needed (specific to product data management)
  • Actively identifies new areas for learning; regularly creates and takes advantage of learning opportunities

Other Typical Tasks May also Include:
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
  • Taking on additional responsibilities from the CM Analyst
  • Provide direct support to Analysts & Manager in managing the electronic product data
  • Takes notes and helps execute activities that results from Product Content|Data Management efforts

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Minimum/Essential Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Zero to five years of experience working at Digi-Key with experience in Marketing, Product Data, Product Management or in customer|supplier facing related role
  • Base understanding of the various functions of Digi-Key, how they work together as well as the industry Digi-Key operates in
  • Base knowledge of Digi-Key brand and its principles
  • Base knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
  • Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
  • Must be able to perform the following behavioral competencies; attention to detail, customer/client focus, ethical conduct, initiative, manages execution, personal effectiveness/credibility, positive attitude, and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Two Year Degree in Business, Marketing or similar area of study or equivalent, relevant work experience
