The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for maintaining, growing, and servicing new and existing accounts. The Inside Sales Rep, as they grow their sales career, will be responsible for identifying sales opportunities, contacting inactive accounts, and creating new ways to up-sell existing accounts. This person will ensure high-quality customer service, responding quickly on the status of orders, addressing delays/issues and rectifying any complaints and claims. Additionally, the Inside Sales Representative will help support the Outside Sales team, creating new accounts in the system, and entering new customer orders.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in related field or commensurate industry experience
- Previous steel/metal sales experience preferred but not required
- Prior customer service or food industry experience strongly preferred
- High energy; ability to maintain a positive attitude regardless of situation
- Strong phone skills and ability to converse with wide range of personnel
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Desire to develop and maintain relationships with both new and existing accounts
- Proficient in Microsoft programs (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
- Strong organizational and planning skills
