YOUR ROLE

The Facilities and Maintenance Manager is responsible for the management of safety, building, and equipment maintenance. The Facilities Manager's primary responsibility will be to maintain systems and continuingly improve them ensuring compliance to local and international standards. Reporting to the Facilities Manager will be the Maintenance Supervisor, Project Engineer, and Reliability Engineer.
  • Actively supports and enforces the plant SHE standards and maintains a safe, hazard free workplace
  • Responds to emergencies as requested; coordinates activities with other responders; directs the work of staff and utilization of resources to affect repair and ensure the safety of the facility
  • Ensures compliance to OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM)
  • Leadership and development of the maintenance staffing needs including hiring, training, mentoring, and motivating employees
  • Manages and schedules all workload and work orders for the Maintenance department
  • Maintain records and improve on key performance indicators in the Maintenance department
  • Conduct subordinate reviews and prepare a maintenance and facilities monthly report
  • Manage, Interface, coordinate, and partner with Sodexo on all facility maintenance
  • Interacts professionally with Maintenance Technicians, utility workers, contractors, vendors, and customers (i.e.: Engineering & Manufacturing). Maintains effective working relationships and works in cooperation with the management team to effectively meet departmental objectives.
  • Meet budgets and timelines on all capital and other expenses projects
  • Maintain maintenance and facilities cost centers within spend budget
  • Oversee all disciplinary actions in accordance with established policy and consistency
  • Maintain good housekeeping objectives and support all lean initiatives including 5S, standardized work, etc.
  • Support the implementation of the SHEQ Management System and continual improvement systems such as OHSAS 18001, ISO14001, ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO50001, and 5S
  • Manage, Interface, coordinate, and partner with Sodexo on all facility maintenance
  • Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas
  • Monitors and participates in maintenance of equipment and building in the Plant including, inspecting projects; developing and implementing modifications and improvements; recommending specifications and scheduling for contracts; negotiating prices and inspecting contractor's work to ensure that safe work practices and standard operating procedures are followed
  • Complete any projects as assigned


YOUR SKILLS

  • BS/BA degree required
  • Minimum five years maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Supervisory experience in a maintenance setting
  • Aptitude with computer systems especially email, database entry, and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Experience with maintenance systems strongly preferred. I.e. Maximo, SAP, or EAMs
  • Problem solving ability and critical thinking skills required
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and follow through skills
  • Troubleshooting experience with PLC and mixing equipment preferred
  • PCS7, Delta V, and or Rockwell operating systems preferred
