Position Information

Position Description & Details: The Northern Crops Institute (NCI) is seeking a Photography & Videography Intern. The intern will work alongside the Communications & Marketing Manager to assist in the development, production, organization and distribution of communication and marketing materials to enhance NCI's mission of promoting northern-grown crops through its worldwide educational programming and technical support activities.

Responsibilities: Assist with photo and video shoots, e dit photos and videos for final use, m aintain, organize, sort and archive raw photos and videos. Record audio interviews and other sounds as needed, c ollaborate with staff on new ideas, directions and avenues for marketing and communications. Support Communications & Marketing Manager with daily administrative tasks. Attend weekly communications meetings. Other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule: Full-time commitment, 40 hours per week with flexibility

Advertised Salary: $13.00/hour

Minimum Qualifications: Very strong written and verbal communication skills, h ighly organized and detailed oriented. Works well in dynamic, changing and team oriented environment. Ability to communicate in a professional manner, a bility to work independently. Currently enrolled in an accredited university and completed at least freshman year. Ideal candidate should be working towards a degree in one of the following areas: Videography, Photography, Communications or related major. Candidates must have experience using DSLR cameras and camcorders. Candidates must have knowledge of camera operations for both still photos and video, and knowledge of lighting and composition. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro and After Effects. Experience with Windows-based computers. Some travel required.
