Job Summary

The Sales and Marketing Associate is a key member of the Company's sales and marketing team, reporting directly to the VP of Business Development and Marketing ("Team Leader"). The Sales and Marketing Associate is someone who is highly organized, goal oriented, and can sustain high levels of activity in all aspects of supporting the sales and marketing team. The Company wants to support the Sales and Marketing Associate that has the motivation to go the extra-mile, that takes that extra step and reaches that much further to prepare one additional sales presentation and finish your day, all with the same enthusiasm you started with so that both the Company and the Employee maximize their respective opportunities working together.

Job Duties

To maximize the Company's revenue goals by managing the preparation of sales materials and supporting the sales and marketing team with an acute sense of detail. This role requires an experienced person with organizational skills, and the ability to drive growth and help channel sales engagement throughout the sales team.

This individual is responsible for all aspects of the sales support process including identifying potential leads to the sales team, customer energy analysis, preparing preliminary system designs, preparing sales presentation materials, and coordinating communication with the Company's operations team. This position works under support and supervision from the Team Leader. You will be expected to effectively manage multiple projects at once throughout the varying stages of the sales process within a high paced, supportive work environment. The Employee will be supported with on-the-job training, personal support, client service teams, marketing teams, and administrative services to help Employee to execute on and maximize the effectiveness of the sales and marketing team.


The responsibilities in performing day to day duties include, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and maintaining constant communication with the sales team.
  • Perform and manage administrative duties for the sales team.
  • Complete initial energy analysis for prospective clients to identify and ensure the correct system sizing and configuration are proposed to the client.
  • Complete preliminary solar array designs for client presentations.
  • Prepare sales materials including client presentations and associated support materials to be shared and presented by the sales team.
  • Monitor sales activities in Company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system; assign and manage tasks for employee and other sales team members.
  • Identify and flag potential clients in CRM by identifying a populating information in CRM from various sources.
  • Work with team members to foster an environment based on aligned goals, process, accountability, integrity, respect and a sense of urgency.
  • Apply experience, discipline and judgement to ensure mutually beneficial decisions are being made for Company and Employee. Work with the Team Leader to consult, as appropriate with areas of expertise within the Company, to ensure decisions are aligned with global and corporate goals, values and strategies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Commercial & Industrial Solar Energy Experience Preferred
  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems (CRM)
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency
  • Experience with Helioscope or Similar Solar Design Software a Plus
