THE POSITION
Lead the Environmental, Storm Water, and Sanitary Landfill Divisions of Public Works. Responsible to plan, budget, implement and supervise operations including environmental protection, storm water collection and treatment, flood control systems, solid waste management, sustainability, and overall related maintenance activities. Ensure compliance with environmental regulatory policies, programs, and requirements for City departments.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, natural science or an environmental management field with five (5) years' experience in water, wastewater, storm water, engineering, or other environmental and/or utility management field; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority. Previous supervisory experience is desired.
The following certifications and/or licenses are desirable: Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC), Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (40-Hour HAZWOPER), and Professional Engineer.
Possession of a valid driver's license is required.
