Overview: In the role of HR Shared Services Specialist I - Payroll working in Waukesha, WI you will be part of the Human Resource Shared Services team.The HR Shared Services Specialist I - Payroll performs all activities necessary to process payroll, including maintain related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for management.This position reports to Supervisor HR Shared Services PayrollResponsibilities: Payroll Processing: ??? Responsible for preparing standard inputs for payroll processing (e.g. W-4 changes, retro pay, direct deposit changes, voluntary deduction set ups and changes). ??? Maintain internal systems and trackers that impact payroll e.g., employee referrals, PPE reimbursements, severance, etc. and ensure processed timely and accurately.??? Process wage attachment letters for government or banking agencies.??? Review time records from timekeeping system for completeness and accuracy and upload to payroll system.??? Maintain payroll and HR files, new hire files, and separation documentation and changes. This includes filing and other clerical dutiesEmployee Service ??? As member HRSS team (askHR), this position is the designated resource for screening and resourcing employees, leaders and HR questions as well as answering all standard payroll questions and other topics as trained. Reporting and Auditing:??? Compile and verify weekly pre-processing audits of payroll data??? Audit HR-entered transactional data to ensure accuracy and work with HR to correct as necessary. Audit wage attachments such as garnishments on a bi-weekly basis to ensure that they are processed properly.Documentation and Training ??? Act as subject matter expert for system and training documentation (ESS, MSS and HR) to answer HR and employee questions.??? Collaborate with payroll team to ensure documentation is current and accessible . Always follow procedures as documented and surface any changes needed.Minimum Qualifications: ???
