Overview:

Connexus Energy is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our Executive Services team. The Administrative Assistant role has a variety of responsibilities including supporting our Vice Presidents with project assistance and administrative needs, assisting in preparation for monthly Board of Director meetings and helping to administer our community donation programs. We are looking for a candidate with strong attention to detail and organizational skills who will be a positive contributor to our vision and goals.

Key Responsibilities & Results:

  • Support Connexus' Senior Leadership team by gathering, researching, compiling, and organizing accurate information in a timely manner.
  • Create, compose, and update reports and documents in supported formats for cooperative sponsored programs. Proofread and verify documents for accuracy, making appropriate changes if necessary.
  • Compose, edit, and correctly format all Board of Directors materials including VP board reports, board resolutions, board memos, and board meeting PowerPoint presentations, using information provided by leadership.
  • Maintain contracts for retention by scanning into electronic file system and filing hard copies on site.
  • Assist with Vice Presidents business travel arrangements, including air fare, car rental, lodging, conference registrations, etc.
  • Distribute agendas, take minutes at cooperative's meetings, transcribe, and distribute the minutes to the appropriate parties.
  • Provide administrative support for community donation programs, including scheduling and attending meetings, recording minutes, and creating quarterly reports for the Connexus Energy Foundation. Coordinating delivery of scholarship dollars to area students and administering our employee community donations.
  • Provide backup to Executive Assistant with all duties, including board book entry and changes in board book software.
  • Cooperative logo wear administration, including collecting employee orders, order placement and distribution, and collection/tracking of used logo wear certificates.
  • Coordinate scheduling and track attendance for cooperative-wide events such as Bloodmobile.
  • Update employee monitor and intranet site with details on various employee activities.
  • Collect department activity from leadership team to produce and post Leadership Team minutes monthly.
  • Assist in maintaining items for Connexus Energy Heritage collection.


Required Talents, Skills, Expertise, Education:

  • High school or General Equivalency Diploma.
  • 3+ years administrative support experience or technical college administrative certification.
  • Strong computer skills with extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented and strong organization skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize work.
  • Ability to balance and meet several deadlines at any one time.
