Entry Level Financial Analyst

What you get to do every day

- Participate in many aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e. journal entries, account reconciliations, expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)

- Cooperate with monitoring and maintaining internal accounting controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley requirements

- From time to time be able to illustrate tricky financial subjects to non-financial staff members in special projects

- Assist in annual budgeting process

- Partake in the planning of monthly financial reporting and other business data

- Cooperate with internal and external auditors during financial and operational audits

- Review confirmed results at the corporate and division levels

- Prepare creative alternatives and propositions to reduce costs and help financial performance of a company

- Federate and analyze budgets and income statement forecasts

- Explore and query an immense amounts of data

- Assist in ensuring adequate controls and procedures

- Less than one year of experience accepted

- Firm understanding of problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly preferable (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)

- navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience desired

- BA/BS degree in finance or a related field

- Capable of working independently with minimal oversight

- Strong communication and social skills

- Candidate must have substantial computer experience including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems

- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
