What does this role do?

The Director of Product Management is responsible for leading the OnVUE product teams to ensure Pearson VUE's online proctoring services exceed market expectations in ways that sustain and increase our business in both core and new markets

This role is responsible for deeply understanding the needs of the customer and market demands and collaborating with stakeholders to define a vision and road map for the OnVUE products and services as well as the development of new products and services

Owner of key service areas, communicate product road maps to the VUE senior executive team, business and technology leaders, marketing team, and Global Business Solutions

Responsible for representing key service areas and communicating product road maps to customers in Quarterly Business Reviews and steering committee meetings

Responsible for the prioritization process by partnering with business and technology leaders

Partners with Business Development, Technology and other functions to align product road maps with business strategy

Ensure the effective management of the entire product life cycle from ideation, product proposal and approval, prototyping and validating new features/products and ideas, and commercialization through end-of-life for all portfolio products

Direct customer interface experience (working with client directly on project tasks; managing client expectations)

What are some of the expectations?

Strong working knowledge of product management disciplines and/or PLC (Product Life Cycle) organizational design, operational expertise and service infrastructure for increased efficiency and scalability

Proven track record of successfully leading multiple teams through the to deliver business goals and requirements

A high level of self-confidence and energy is a must

Effective in building and maintaining a highly productive team.

Ability to maintain core value and high ethics in various situations

History of and continuing blogging, podcasting, and demonstrating product leadership in conferences along with an active presence on social media

Effective management with an acceptable, flexible, decisive and supportive manner

Presentation skills at all audience level

Proven ability to quickly learn new business domains and technical applications.

Experience in computer-based testing, certification, online learning, or licensing industry preferred but not required

Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
