**Description:**As a member of the Engineering Team, you'll be involved with the development or improvement of products and designs. Work may include the creation of previously non-existent products or modification of existing products, including product line extensions. A successful individual for this role will possess the technical ability to evaluate the project scope requirements, develop the pros and cons for multiple solutions, and articulate a best-case recommendation in a design review. You will take the selected solution to a fully defined engineering package delivered to the operations team for prototype build and for future production. You will also give direction and guidance to technicians and less experienced engineers.Other Responsibilities:+ Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions.+ Assistance is furnished on unusual problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment.+ Performs work that involves conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment with relatively few complex features for which there are precedents.+ Assignments usually include one or more of the following: Equipment design and development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in the specific narrow area of assignments.+ Adheres to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.+ Works with Production to insure new parts are compatible with capabilities.+ Identifies when the new capability is required.**Skills:**Design, 3D Modeling, Inventor, FEA**Top Skills Details:**+ 3+ years of professional experience working in a Design Engineer role in a Heavy Construction Equipment product line+ Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar discipline.+ Proficient with AutoCAD, Solidworks or Inventor, ProE, and PDM**Additional Skills & Qualifications:**Minimum 3 years of professional experience as an engineer for a heavy construction equipment product line.Proficient with 3D modeling software: Solidworks or Inventor and Pro-E is a plus**Experience Level:**Intermediate Level**About Aerotek:**We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
