Its award winning electronically tintable glass solution is second-to-none and recognized by Green Building, Inc. as one of the top ten green building products available on the market place.SageGlassis currently seeking a Quality Engineer to implement, improve, and sustain the quality program at SageGlass, with a specific emphasis on the SageGlass IGU manufacturing process. This role will work closely with Process Engineering and Operations to first identify production process and quality issues and then drive continuous improvements. Strong problem solving skills and agility are required in order to succeed in this role. This position will also work with suppliers to monitor incoming material quality, and drive specific supplier quality initiatives.Essential Funcitons Include: Leverage quality engineering tools and techniques such as Gauge R&R, FMEA, sampling plans, SPC, etc. to monitor and improve Critical to Quality Processes and drive down process variation throughout the plant. Support the design and lead execution of validation programs, guided by a systematic risk analysis of process and product changes Drive corrective actions based on customer complaints, audits, and other excursions via a structured problem solving approach. Lead Supplier Quality Initiatives, including monitoring supplier performance, driving improvement in current relationships, and qualifying new suppliers. Serve as the Quality representative on Cross functional Project Teams Perform Internal Quality Audits, Supplier Audits and participate in 3rd Party Audits (Regulatory, Customer, etc.) when needed. Support the implementation of an integrated and sustainable management system that is compliant to ISO 9001 with registration in 2 years. Support regulatory efforts to maintain certification marks and the applicable factory production control Required Qualifications Bachelors Degreein an Engineering Field (Mechanical and Materials Engineering preferred) 2-3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred Knowledge of North American and European standards and regulations for Architectural Glass Experience with common Quality Tools and problem solving methods (Six Sigma, 8D, etc.) Strong communication skills with ability to work across all levels of the organization and with external partners. Proficiency with MS Office Experience with quality system software systems Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred.
