GHD has an exciting opportunity for a Green Infrasture Lead to be based from any of our North American offices. The Green Infrastructure Lead will work closely with GHD's Business Group Leaders, Regional Market Leaders, Service Lines and technical staff as a subject matter expert on green infrastructure study and design projects. This person will also help guide GHD's strategy and pursuits related to green infrastructure, stormwater management, and sustainable design.
Responsibilities
Technical
  • Provide technical leadership on green infrastructure projects. Perform technical review and oversight, staff guidance, and project development.
  • Promote relationships with existing and potential clients across North America. Increase business by improving client relationships and strengthening repeat business. Expand the client base by promoting GHD's services proactively.
  • Design and execution of a strategy to increase GHDs market share of private & public sector clients across North America.
  • Represent and promote GHD at networking events, professional and industrial associations, society meetings, conferences, and tradeshows.
  • Provide thought leadership in green infrastructure across a range of implementation types
Client
  • Collaborate with Water Market Sector and Business Group Leaders to position and win green infrastructure focused projects regionally and across North America.
  • Promote relationships with existing and potential clients in across North America. Increase business by improving client relationships and strengthening repeat business. Expand the client base by promoting GHD's services proactively.
  • Design and execution of a strategy to increase GHDs market share in green infrastructure across North America.People
  • Promote and employ deliberate and informed client and pursuit leadership and management. Promote GHD's Winning Work, Key Clients and CRM tenets for marketing and business development.
  • Work closely with Service Lines to coordination professional organization and conference participation, speaking opportunities and attendance at key green infrastructure related conferences and events.
  • Expand and mentor green infrastructure team regionally and across North America.
  • Attract strategic hires to help enhance GHD capabilities in green infrastructure

Experience
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Water Resources or similar technical field.
  • Minimum 20+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Professional engineering license (P.E. or P.Eng) required.
  • Technical expertise in green infrastructure planning, design and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles of nature-based systems and asset management.
  • Specific preferred expertise includes an understanding of and experience:
o Implementing biofiltration or other natural systems for pretreatment to volumetric based stormwater solutions.
o Navigating regulatory environments across NA and working to develop treatment methods to remove regulated constituents of concern.
  • Strong design skills including development of complex plans and specifications.
  • Proven track record in client development and project execution of green infrastructure programs and projects across North America
  • Published author and regular national presenter on green infrastructure related topics
  • Ability to travel a minimum of 25% of the time.
  • Excellent relationship management skills and a real passion for developing people
  • Strong focus on client service.
