The primary role of this position is to lead product development programs and/or other business initiatives to deliver growth and profitability for the Controls Product Business Unit. This position is responsible to effectively lead these programs both cross-functionally and across global locations with minimal general direction and in accordance with our structured Product Development Process to meet the program schedule, scope, and budget. The Program Manager will also be responsible for clearly and concisely presenting the program status to leadership & stakeholders.

How you will do it:

Initiate, plan and execute programs to deliver scope within budget and on-time. Programs may span software, electronics, and mechanical engineering disciplines.
Manage programs cross-functionally (engineering, product management, sales, manufacturing, finance, procurement etc.) and across global locations
Work with cross functional team to ensure programs have robust business cases and commercialization strategies
Present program proposals to business sponsors and executive leadership team
Manage program critical path and risks with transparency and robust mitigation and contingency plans
Maintain a regular cadence of monthly executive program reviews
Ensure completeness of program deliverables and maintains requisite metrics and scorecards
Develop and maintain a robust internal operating network to foster personal effectiveness and agility
Foster an environment that maintains high productivity and team morale. Coach, mentor, motivate and influence team members to take positive action and accountability for their work.
Operate with speed and agility to readily analyze data and information and formulate action plans
Manage program budget, accounting for both capital and expense spending and develop action plans to recover unfavorable variances
Manage the program scope, ensuring that scope changes are properly documented, communicated and approved prior to including in schedule

Qualifications

What we look for:

Required

Bachelors degree in Engineering or technical degree with 10 years of experience in project management or a related technical field. Master's Degree (MBA preferred)
5 yrs. experience in the HVAC or related industry in a product development environment with a minimum of 3 years in project or program management. PMP Certification preferred
Knowledge of hardware and software product development practices including both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Experience working with manufacturing organizations to introduce new product into production.
Proficient with project management software tools and concepts.
Ability to travel internationally
