Sr. Accountant

Robert Half Accountemps is looking for a Senior Accountant for a long-term temporary opportunity. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. We are seeking an individual with exemplary analytical skills who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced work environment in order to support the continued success of the company. This Senior Accountant role is based in the east metro.

Responsibilities

- Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external auditors

- Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables primarily in the compensation area such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports

- Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

- Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

- 3-5 years of overall general accounting experience

- QuickBooks or other ERP system experience

- Strong Excel skills required

- Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail a plus

- Strong time management and organizational skills

- Detail oriented, ability to multi-task and work independently
