ABOUT THE ROLE

The Sr. Tax Accountant will handle a broad range of responsibilities within the tax department, as well as assist with establishing and documenting tax-related processes and procedures. The successful candidate will have a process improvement mindset and technology aptitude as well as a willingness to work in all areas of tax as a generalist.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Handle all aspects of insurance premium tax reporting: annual filings, quarterly payments, and monthly accruals and account reconciliation
    • Assist with preparation of corporate income tax returns
    • Calculate book-tax differences for tax returns and provision
    • Collaborate with accounting counterparts to identify and capture tax relevant data
    • Assist with tax-related integration of acquisitions
    • Assist with establishing processes for sales/use tax, property tax, and unclaimed property filings
    • Maintain tax calendar
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor's Degree required; Degree in Accounting or other related field strongly preferred
    • Three (3) or more years of tax experience required
    • Experience using Corptax software preferred
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES
    • Proficiency with MS Office software, particularly Excel
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent analytical and time management skills
    • Process improvement mindset
LICENSURES AND CERTIFICATIONS
    • CPA preferred, but not required
