Public Works Director/County Engineer

Overall responsibility for managing budgets and staff for multiple functions managed through the Public Works Department. Works in concert with the County Administrator to develop annual and long range plans as well as operating and capital budgets. Serves as the principal communicator for the Public Works department and is the Engineer of Record for Nobles County.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum eight years' experience as a County Engineer or equivalent combination. Current Professional Civil Engineer's License with certification in the design of construction storm water prevention, protection and planning, and certification as the program administrator and team leader for bridge safety inspection. Supervisory experience required. Must possess a valid driver's license.
