Vaxxinova US is a growing company with a staff of over 60 people. The company is extending its commercial organization, creating a vacancy for Key Account Manager-Cattle.
About the role
The Key Account Manager- Cattle will be a field-based position, reporting to the Director of Sales & Technical Services (also field based). This role is responsible for Front Line Business and Account management with Key Cattle Accounts. The role will apply a Key Account Management approach to cultivate networks and relationships within key accounts and leverage Vaxxinova resources to drive sales growth. The role will represent Vaxxinova at key industry events, meetings and with Key Opinion Leaders (KOL's).
This position requires about 75% travel.
Main responsibilities: Key Account Manager- Cattle
- Leverage resources, cultivate relationships & grow your networks in order to identify opportunities to drive sales
- Identify emerging needs and trends for Key Accounts, Vaxxinova and the industry, then effectively communicate these needs to the broader Vaxxinova team.
- Develop & execute account plans (looking 12-18 months out), including sales forecasting, and supporting customer through field visits.
- Lead account teams in order to create and capture the most value for Vaxxinova and for customers. Work across company functions to bring maximum value & an excellent customer experience for Key Accounts.
- Represent Vaxxinova at key industry & customer meetings, and work to influence KOL's to demonstrate Vaxxinova's emerging leadership in the vaccine space.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or Animal Science,
- More than 7 years' experience in the Animal Health sales- Cattle/Dairy Industry experience is an advantage.
- Customer focused is a must; ability to communicate (at different levels) to complex customer operations is an advantage.
- A deep understanding of the cattle industry and the key players and respective needs is a plus.
- Representing our entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on mentality. Must be a team player
- Fully functional in Microsoft Office software
