The Technology Enablement & Pipeline (TE&P) team within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) is responsible for product ownership, delivery, and operational support of the Enterprise Pipeline (EPL) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD). Our strategy focuses on building a fully automated (build, deploy, and test), end-to-end pipeline that includes a community driven inner source model, establishes self-service onboarding capabilities, and integrates software development lifecycle and segregation of duties controls.

We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineering Leader with expertise in DevOps products to drive transformation of enterprise practices, with a focus on developer experience and ensuring a smooth onboarding of application to the Enterprise Pipeline. This leader will work with the product owners for the DevOps toolchain and the various lines of business to understand the capabilities required by the business and ensure the features developed by engineering teams are consumed by the clients; as well as be responsible for tracking the utilization of features. They will also lead engineering teams in various initiatives to pilot new tools and bring those to production.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead the initiative leads for migrations and onboarding to the enterprise pipeline and ensure migration of applications.
  • Lead the initiative leads for new tools and production in the space of DevOps toolchain and ensure onboarding of those production in the Wells Fargo environments
  • Oversee onboarding and migration teams.
  • Define and analyze key performance metrics and reporting dashboards to gain insight on progress, identify areas of improvement, inform data-driven decisions, etc.
  • Partner with senior product leaders, lead systems architects, and engineering managers to develop product functional and technical strategies for the LOB product portfolio.
  • Provide expertise and thought leadership in the portfolio domain and leverage external perspectives, trends, and research to inform development of actionable strategies and plans.
  • Ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met
  • Ensures the designed solutions from engineering teams meet the customer requirement.
  • Support implementation of features spanning multiple teams for multiple product or capability domains.
  • Partner with senior product leaders to drive strategic outcomes
  • Ensures that key areas of technology risk including security, stability, and scalability are addressed in products and capabilities within the domain(s). Interface with third party vendors and technology service providers.
  • Evaluate new products to get key outcomes where necessary, as well as re-evaluate new ways of using existing capabilities.
  • Primary interface with third party vendors and technology service providers supporting products within the portfolio. May interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies and/or industry forums.

Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations: New York, NY; Raleigh, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ; or San Francisco, CA. Preference will be given to those candidates that either currently live in or are willing to relocate to one of these locations.



Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology engineering experience
  • 6+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
  • 5+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
  • 2+ years of Agile experience
  • 5+ years of DevOps experience



Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to consult with business partners to define key performance metrics, dashboards or scorecards
  • Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as; policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security
  • Knowledge and understanding of product or program management: development of roadmaps, strategies, and management of products ranging from concepts in ideation through to market delivery
  • 2+ years of secure SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) methodologies experience
  • Experience applying new technologies to business needs in a technologically innovative , change-driven organization



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with DevOps automation development using a pipeline-as-code approach
  • Enterprise experience with one or more CI/CD implementation, configuration management, build, and orchestration tools: Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, uDeploy, GitHub, Artifactory, Harness IO, Spinnaker, Terraform
  • Experience with one or more security and code quality scanning tools: SonarQube, Fortify, BlackDuck, Checkmarx, Threadfix, Xray
  • Experience with container solution implementations, preferably Kubernetes or Docker
  • Experience with one or more Cloud platforms: AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) or VMware Tanzu App Service (TAS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure
